Live Water Properties Welcomes Ben Pierce

ben-pierce-biophotoBen Pierce joins Live Water Properties and will be assisting buyers and sellers with their <a href=”http://www.livewaterproperties.com” target=”_blank”>ranch real estate</a> needs.

Ben retired in 2008 after 25 years with The Nature Conservancy (TNC).  He was based in Montana for nine years and was the Co-Director of that Chapter serving as the Wyoming State Director for 11 years and the National Director of TNC’s Conservation Buyer Program for 5 years.  Ben has helped negotiate hundreds of conservation transactions valued in excess of $650 million while protecting over 500,000 acres in the northern Rockies.

ben-familyPrior to TNC, Ben worked in banking and investment management in Boston and New York City.  He graduated from Dartmouth College, the University of Washington (Masters in Natural Resource Management) and Stanford Business School (Summer Executive Program).  Ben currently serves on the Board of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust and the Rancher’s Stewardship Alliance.  He has also been a pilot since 1981 and currently uses his Cessna 206 to assist with land conservation.  Ben’s focus is on helping buyers acquire important conservation properties in Montana and Wyoming, where he is intimately familiar with all the landscapes.  Ben and his family ranch along the Rocky Mountain Front in Montana.  Ben has three children and lives on a farm in Belgrade, Montana, with his wife Penelope.  In his free time, Ben loves to fish, hunt, and ski.
